Infrastructure Hardware Engineer

Summary: Seeking two Infrastructure Hardware Engineers for a 12+ month contract to support operating systems, server hardware, and configure private cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Support of the hardware infrastructure including compute server, storage, and complex on premises compute environments

• Communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security

Requirements:

• Must hold a U.S. government DOD - Secret issued security clearance

• BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics with 2+ years of related work experience

• Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration

• Experience in COTS product installation for Hardware and Software products

• Experience with software installation and configuration and O/S builds

• Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash)

• Experience with code repository systems (ClearCase, Bit Bucket)

• Architecture and design experience of on premises COTS Infrastructure (IT)

• Able to obtain a Security Plus certification within 90 days of start

• Experience with Change Management processes - Version Control of software and applications

• Knowledge on networks, storage, and virtualization (VMware)

• Familiarity with MS Visio for documentation

• Agile Development Methodologies knowledge (scrum, SAFe)

• DevOps/DevSecOps system development experience

• Proficiency in designing private cloud environments particularly compute servers

• Automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack

• Containerization experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher)

• Implementing DISA STIGs experience

 

 Pay: 50-58

Pay Details: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour
