About this job
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Owns the marketing process for new project policies such as complex Builders Risk and Owners Interest, Liability insurance programs, along with new and renewal ancillary lines of coverage, including but not limited to, creating marketing submissions and managing ongoing negotiations with carriers.
- Owns meeting facilitation, client interactions, negotiations, technical analysis, and program design with minimal oversight from Account Executive.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client problems and provide solutions proactively.
- Receives quotes, reviews for accuracy/desired coverage's, terms, and pricing, and discusses with Account Executive.
- Receives policies from carriers, and advises Account Specialist of any next steps.
- Ability to perform premium allocations, surplus lines tax calculations, renewal and new business certificate of insurance master template preparation and approval, on-demand certificates, policy endorsements, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, and managing coordination of audits on expired and/or non-renewed policies.
- Conducts contract reviews with respect to insurance requirements and understands various terminology to ensure clients coverage needs are adequately addressed.
- Provides timely responses on client matters, including internal clients (team, other departments, etc.) to ensure adequate service standard needs are met.
- Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values.

A minimum of 4+ years applicable insurance experience with a focus on Real Estate,Construction or Hospitality accounts, preferred
Holds an Active Property & Casualty insurance license
Holds or is currently pursuing general insurance designation (preferred)
Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail
Strong understanding of Property, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess, Workers Compensation, and other risk programs
Ability to work within agency management system (Applied EPIC),as well as maintain data completeness and teams established workflow standards
Strong organizational skills focused on attention to detail, accuracy and high quality work product, including but not limited to, the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with competing priorities
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to build underwriter and client relationships
Ability to work independently, and lead project special assignments
Ability to delegate to appropriate parties when necessary
Experience with Microsoft Office products required (specifically Excel,Outlook,Teams, and Word)
Some travel may be required (up to 10% depending on assigned book of business)

In addition to our robust benefits package, the hiring range for this position is $57,100-$78,600.
