Sprout Social is looking for a highly motivated, strategic, and inspiring Operations Leader to lead a team of Data and Tools Specialists whose mission is to drive GTM productivity via technology, process, and trusted data.

What you'll do

  • Own hygiene and integrity efforts with respect to Sprout's Salesforce instance, setting standards and governance, building out audit process and infrastructure, and driving major data improvement projects
  • Become Sprout's primary subject matter expert on data enrichment and data enrichment vendors, with a mission of continuous improvement to support the evolution of our sales coverage model
  • Evaluate and continuously monitor the adoption of our current GTM toolset, partnering with the Enablement team to increase utilization; formalize vendor evaluation processes and manage major tooling reassessments
  • Engage with Marketing Operations to ensure seamless usage of our MarTech stack by the Sales and Customer Success organizations
  • Partner closely with Corp IT and Marketing on CRM-related projects and enhancements
  • Hire, coach and develop a team of Data and Tools Specialists to help design and execute the GTM technology & data roadmap
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization with an ability to influence and deliver consistent results

What you'll bring

Sprout Social is looking for someone who combines a proven track record of people leadership with a willingness to roll up sleeves and dive into the deepest details to help execute. You love working with data and have a strong attention to detail. This individual will partner with Sales and Success teams to identify, prioritize, deliver, and measure initiatives across the organization that are designed to increase efficiency. The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 3+ years of experience in a formal people leadership role
  • Deep fluency in Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with data management, hygiene, and governance best practices
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and technology adoption, particularly sales technology

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience using Excel, Tableau, Jira
  • Exposure to Data Enrichment Providers
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal

How you'll grow

Within 1 month, you'll plant your roots, including:

  • Experience Sprout's in-depth onboarding, covering everything from our company mission and values, hearing directly from executives and founders, to deep training on our products and the value that Sprout delivers to our customers
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Central Operations to define key success metrics for your role and how you will be measured against them
  • Meet your team in 1:1's to understand current processes and areas for opportunity
  • Become familiar with Sprout's sales technology stack, as well as our instance of Salesforce
  • Build working relationships with key stakeholders across Sales Ops, Corp IT, Data Analytics, Marketing and other relevant functional leads.

Within 3 months, you'll start hitting your stride by:

  • Have direct management responsibility of the Data & Systems team - start providing mentorship and guidance, and assist them in the execution of their objectives
  • Fully immerse yourself in our ongoing data improvement project, with a view toward taking a meaningful role in owning and driving these workstreams by the end of 90 days
  • Develop fluency with our current sales technology stack and complete your own assessment of the current state of adoption
  • Meet with all existing sales technology vendors with a view toward building out programs and leveraging vendor-supplied customer success resources to improve utilization
  • Prepare for major upcoming vendor assessments and familiarize yourself with current vendor selection processes
  • Start the process of reviewing existing vendor contracts and exploring new vendors to develop a comprehensive vendor management strategy

Within 6 months, you'll be making a clear impact through:

  • Drafting of Sprout's sales technology roadmap based on your adoption assessment and feedback from key x-functional stakeholders
  • Owning all data integrity workstreams, and delivering against key milestones
  • Drafting Sprout CRM data hygiene standards and developing/deploying a preliminary list of regular audit activities to support the maintenance of these standards
  • Actively managing Sprout's ongoing relationship with our data quality BPO vendor
  • Surfacing gaps in our enrichment process or vendors
  • Having built strong departmental relationships with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Marketing
  • Achieve noticeable improvements in the adoption and effectiveness of the technology stack

Within 12 months, you'll make this role your own by:

  • Being recognized across the organization as a strategic resource and effective communicator
  • Achieving dramatic and sustained improvements in CRM data hygiene
  • Have hired and onboarded a world-class team of data and technology professionals

Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. The base pay range for this role is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.

Sprout's compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout's equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout's company's 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers "Flexible Paid Time Off" and ten paid holidays. We have outlined the various components to an employee's full compensation package to help you to understand our total rewards package.
