Our weekly Religious Education programming is grounded in creating a supportive church environment in the spirit of our UUCLB Religious Education Committee Mission Statement:

*Inspire & nurture all children, youth, and families of our community in the search for personal truths,
*Empower their actions and beliefs and
*Foster respect for themselves and others as well as the world around them, through religious learning, spiritual practices, and growth.

We have an annual theme that grounds us in a shared journey with our worship and adult small group ministry program. This year’s overarching frame is The Gifts of Our Faith. The Soul Matters program focuses on ten beloved values and explores their potential to shape us and, in turn, shape the world. This year we are exploring all the different gifts our faith gives us and all the gifts being Unitarian Universalist helps us give others.

Our Rainbow Room is a play-based space for infants through age 4, led by a Nursery Caregiver and volunteers.

Our K-3 group is led by a team of wonderful volunteer teachers. Each week offers meaningful, values based sessions filled with stories, experience-based learning activities, mindfulness practices, games, crafts, skits, creative practices, and more.

Our Youth Group for Grades 4-12, facilitated by volunteer leaders, is focused on UU values-centered activities and projects based on the creative interests of our group members. The group focuses on bonding, fun, fellowship and community building.

Faith in Action program: second Sundays at 10 am (with a few exceptions!) K-12 children and youth participate in a social-justice centered project, such as assembling hygiene kits or snack sacks for our unhoused neighbors.

Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality. We offer these programs to different developmental age groups and their parents and caregivers on a rotating schedule.

Please check out our program online at https://www.uuclb.org/learn/childrenyouthandfamilies/.   Please feel free to reach out to revlissa@uuclb.org  with any questions or for more information about the position, program or community. We welcome your inquiries and look forward to getting to know you!
