Job Summary

 

Pacific Northern Environmental LLC (PNE LLC) is seeking a Contract Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.

                                               

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of four divisions include Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC has offices in multiple states.

The Contract Manager is responsible for executing, negotiating, organizing, and evaluating a wide variety of contracts while collaborating/partnering with internal and external stakeholders for all of Pacific Northern Environmental LLC business entities.

 

Education and Experience Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, master’s degree a plus.
  • Three years of negotiation and contract management or related experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Be able to demonstrate the capability to multitask without compromising accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to translate the implications of contract language and understand the effects and community impacts,
  • Must possess excellent judgement, trustworthiness, and role model for the organization.
  • Work as an integral part of a team who can engage with staff and management at all levels.
  • Ability to find creative ways to minimize risk for the organization.

 

Preferred Education and Professional Experience

  • Education in legal or contract management fields.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial construction organizations.
  • Experience with a wide variety of contracts, terms and conditions including:
    • Customer Relations
    • Tribal (including Sovereign Immunity)
    • State/Federal Government
    • Employment
    • Non-disclosure agreements
    • Leases and Rental agreements
  • Experience with Business Licenses (state, business, city, trade).
  • Experience with filing and administering liens.
  • Experience with Contract Security and Bonding.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Contracts Manager possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:

 

  • Serve as the lead for contract negotiations, creation amendment or renewal for the company in partnership with the Director of Legal and Procurement.
  • Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers: serve as the primary point of contact for contracting and legal matters.
  • Liaise with the Director of Legal and Procurement and Executive Team to prioritize terms negotiations.
  • Partner with both office and field staff to understand their contractual needs. Communicate contract related matters to stakeholders.
  • Meet regularly with management to prioritize and ensure goals are being met.
  • Organize contracts so they can effectively be monitored and leveraged in the future.
  • Help to ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
  • Problem solves contract related issues that may arise.
  • Regularly evaluate current company templates according to organizational objectives and apply improvements in partnership with management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:

 

  • Move about the jobsite as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
