#1 benefit holiday job seekers are looking for?

It’s no surprise that the almighty dollar is top-of-mind among holiday job seekers this year.

With 8% inflation eating away at people’s paychecks, over 45% of hourly workers we surveyed in our recent Holiday Hiring Report 2022 say they simply can’t pay their bills anymore.

So, when asked what the #1 benefit they’re looking for in a holiday job posting, their overwhelming response was naturally money-related.

More than 69% of all hourly job seekers today want a “weekly payout” (or even better, daily payout).

This is even higher for those who specifically reported that they’re actively looking for an hourly holiday position: 74%.

If you’re looking for a quick fix to boost your holiday staffing, we recommend offering (and promoting in job posts) the fact that you’ll pay them at the end of the week at the latest.

Again, as mentioned above, inflation is having a serious impact on workers’ lives. If they’re getting strung along pay-wise, they’re facing bank fees from bounced checks or unreasonable interest rates from payday lenders up the block. Plus, they may run out of gas on the way to work, which will leave you high and dry.

Another suggestion is to try Shifts by Snagajob, where hourly workers are vetted and work through Snagajob. These workers are paid weekly, which you can promote in your job postings.
